The List
Here is a list of things I want to do before I die. Most people do it in 1001 days..screw that, too much pressure and less enjoyment! These are dreams and some goals, I know that some of these may not happen. I am also positive this list will change a lot.
- Visit Montmartre within lovely Paris. I am obsessed with visiting this town and pretending I am Amelie for a day.
- Have a book of photography published.<–almost! Some of my photography published in this book and this book. Actual book deal happening right now!
- Have some of my photographs published in a magazine. Artful Blogging!
- Spend a month in Japan with my camera.
- Go back to uni and get a Bachelor of Arts in literature and photography.
- Meet Bono. See here.
- Teach in Japan/Italy/somewhere where the people I teach do not speak English.
- Ride a bike with a basket full of flowers, a french stick, wine and cheese that I’ve just bought at the local village in Europe somewhere.
- Own my own children’s bookstore. There will be story time 3 times a week. The door will have a bell..
- Meet all Sean’s extended family and hopefully fall in love with them.
- Learn to ski/snowboard.
- Be married to the man I love.
- Live in a villa in Tuscany.
- Do a backpacking tour of Europe.
- Make a snow angel. See here.
- Own a little house with a verandah, bay windows and a garden.
- Live in Vancouver. I’ve arrived!
- Get an environmentally friendly car- as environmentally friendly as they can be.
- Learn to cook properly and enjoy cooking.
- Read far more books each year.
- Learn to speak another language.
- Shoot a wedding.
- Take a dance class.
- Learn to make my own clothes.
- Build my own darkroom.
- Own a Hassleblad camera.
- Sponsor a child.
- Learn to play the piano.
- Cope with my anxieties better.
- Shoot U2.
- Get over my fear of needles.
- Spend Christmastime in New York.
- Be in a U2 video. See here
- Visit Shakespeare’s birthplace.
- Be Tony Mott’s assistant..if only for a day! See here
- Travel around Europe with my camera and my boy.
- Earn enough money so I can buy my Mum a house.
- Make films..the movie kind.
- Get a Polaroid SX-70.
- See the Great Wall of China.
- Fly in a helicopter above a volcano.
- Get a photo pass to shoot U2. See here
- Learn to be a morning person.
- Volunteer to do something to help those less privileged than myself.
- Take Pilates classes.
- Become a portrait photographer.
- Work as a teacher for at least 10 years. Done! 10 years were up in 2008.
- Find a hair dresser who actually can give me the colour hair I want.
- Swim with dolphins.
- Go to Glastonbury Music Festival.
- Spend a night at a fancy hotel in New York or London.
- Drive across America.
- See the running of the bulls- not take part.
- Get my ears pierced.
- Explore my family roots in Ireland and England.
- Learn how to take a compliment.
- Get a Nikon FM3a.
- See Machau Picchu.
- See U2 in Ireland. September 2001- Saw them at Slane Music Festival.
- Go to Wimbledon.
- Be in the bridal party!
- Organise some sort of event.
- Do a teaching study tour of Vietnam or Japan.
- Take a year off and just take photographs.
- Go to Venice during Carnevale.
- Have a beautiful wedding that allows me to spend time on the details.
- Visit Monet’s garden.
- Write a book with Sean.
- See Australia play England in the ASHES at Lords.
- Become a mummy.
- Go hiking.
- Go to the Cannes Film Festival.
- Get a Mac.
- Visit the Christmas markets.
- Take photographs that resemble a Sigur Ros video.
- See tigers in the wild.
- Experience Tibet and meet the Dalai Lama.
- Hear Silent Night in Austria on Christmas Eve.
- Hang out with Nikki, Mindy, Kim, Sandy, Pamela, Karina and Andrea; Paul, Janine, Brandon, Myla, Jenifer and Susannah.
- Continue being amazingly in love with Sean- ongoing and doing it.
- Visit Iceland.
- Take care of my family so that they are safe, happy and content.
- Stop worrying.

- Have a photography exhibition.
- Write a book. <— Happening May 2010- January 2011!
