A.P.C. and Top Shop, Oh My!

Why must things always appear just as you’re disappearing?

Not only is Top Shop apparently coming to Australia, but I just discovered that a store in the Galleries Victoria in Sydney has been selling A.P.C. and I had no idea! I can’t tell you how many times I have walked past Incu and not gone in. Stupid! We are leaving the city { for the suburbs for 3 weeks} in 2 days and I discover it now! What is up with that?

So yes, I heard a big twitter rumour that Top Shop is coming to Sydney and apparently Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream is about to hit our shores.

I guess I shouldn’t complain as very soon I will be in the land of:

So yay me!

Do you Canadians and Americans ( or of course Aussies in the know) have any other stores that I should be keeping an eye out for? I know there was one store in Vancouver called Aritzia that has always had awesome clothes when I’ve visited. I will most likely want to hit the shops in the first week of arrival in North America…priorities! What are your favourite stores?

p.s. After much debate on our favourite girl crushes, a blog devoted completely to just that might take your fancy. Got A Girl Crush is fabulous…I opened the site to discover the latest crush to be Winnie Cooper. You can’t get anymore awesome than that.

The Things We Do For Those We Love

Another weekend gone, oh how quickly you disappear from our grasp, glorious non working days. So, my weekend was spent providing my young sister with at least a year of owing Sean and me big favours. The reason she will need to be spending a year giving us whatever we want, is that at the last minute before a photo shoot (for her final Yr 12 art assessment), she needed us to step in and be models. This delighted The Canadian to the heights of pure euphoria.

It did involve a polaroid but that wasn’t enough to keep me happy. In the end, I found it all rather hilarious, but she is now indebted until we work out a suitable punishment.

Kel and I did do an afternoon photo shoot in the sun, which gave us some good shots. I got to try out the ID UV film I have had sitting in my fridge for a few weeks. I knew it was expired, but I didn’t realise it would be THAT expired. It’s kinda neat though!

Sunday was spent making use of some Ruddbucks to enable the wintery wardrobe to come out of last year’s coma.

I stimulated Myer, Country Road and my local camera store today (who are out of Polaroid 600 film and so am I!!!). These are next on my hit list. That coat is the best winter coat I have ever found. Shame you can’t see it properly in this picture.
