Print Store is Open for the Holidays

New prints are in the Print Store- a mixture of fine art and Polaroid prints from 2010. There are some pretty pink pieces in there too.

From today until Monday, I am offering FREE shipping on every item in the store.

Polaroid prints come in sizes 8″ x 8″, 6″ x 6″ and 5″ x 5″. Fine Art prints come in sizes 8″ x 10″ and 5″ x 7″.

Please send me a convo on etsy or email me if you would like a size that isn’t listed in the store.

A New Week

Hello friends,

I hope your weekend was a lovely one. I’m easing myself into this week with a hello to any new visitors to Mocking Bird and a big thank you to all my lovely regulars for the ongoing support.

The lovely Amanda of Here Comes The Sun wrote a sweet post about my Polaroid photography today. Her blog is beautiful, you should definitely check it out. Thank you Amanda! Speaking of photography (when don’t I?), there has been an arrival of more Springtime goodness in the print store. Check out these blossoming beauties and this magnolia above. Some Of My Favourite Photoblogs

Way back in the early 00′s, my first endeavours online were scattered between building dodgy geocities sites about my travels to chase U2 all over the UK and Ireland and starting up my first ever photoblog.

I came across photoblogs by people like Alison, Myla, Dawn, Lynn and Lorissa and figured it was a great way to share my photographs, so I set up my own. I soon became friends with other Sydney and Aussie photobloggers and really got into the world of blogging, soon writing my own personal blog as well as posting my pictures on my photoblog daily.

Today my blog is very different, my “daily photoblog” is well and truly on hiatus and my tastes in photography have changed but I still love looking at other people’s photoblogs on a daily basis. So to end off this photography inspired week, I thought I would share a few of my favourites with you. These are people who share their own photography.

I’d be happy to do a post on how you would go about setting up a blog if that’s something you are interested in- although I know a lot of you that do come visit my little corner of the world are well and truly blog savvy already.

My Favourite Polaroids of 2009

Polaroid Print Store Open For Spring!

After the last mammoth post, this is a quickie.

I have updated the print store with some new prints for Spring! Lots of flowers, Parisian dreams and warm, sunny days. I’ve also got the popular ‘Vintage’ Polaroid back in stock.

These are a little different than my older prints because they have a white border as you can see in the Polaroid above. For March, included with your print will be a set of notecards and I use those cute little cards and stamp to adorn your package. The prints are really quite lovely and I am very happy with my Vancouver pro lab I used for these.

These non filmy shots are now available as prints in my Print Store.

I hope you are all enjoying your beginning to 2010. I am currently planning for our little getaway to Oahu. Currently I have packed:

3 packs of Polaroid 779 (plus 5 shots left in the camera)
2 rolls of Portra 160NC and 2 rolls of Portra 400NC
2 rolls of Kodak Tri X

Polaroid SLR680
Nikon FM3A
Holga

I am now trying to decide whether or not to lug the DSLR. I’d rather just pick up this baby and take it instead. All I can think about is the sunshine on my back, fresh salty air, Havaianas and the Ala Moana Centre (J Crew, Neiman Marcus, Kate Spade and Nordstrom here I come).

I cannot wait to get over there with my Polaroids and shoot, shoot, shoot!

p.s. The Canadian got a Wii for Christmas and I’m already addicted to Mario Kart even though I suck at it. I made a The Edge Mii- so sad!

If you buy more than one, you only pay shipping on the first.

In 2010, I plan on adding many more prints to the store and changing things up a little. I have had requests for different prints so I hope to add many of those requested items to the new store in 2010. I will ship all over the world.
