The weary travellers have returned and I have so much to tell you about our little Canadian road trip. Before I do, I wanted to share some Polaroids from one of the most amazing weeks I’ve had in a long time. I feel one with nature like I never have before.

Just Be

While it swelters at 36 degrees back home in Sydney, I am trying to hold on to the last of the sunshine and warmth that I tried to capture in all my pores on our little trip away.

It’s funny how a week in a completely different mindset can alter everything you were thinking and planning before you left. I feel like I’m floating through space right now and that’s OK because sometimes you just have to let yourself deal with the situation of your present. You have to allow your present to be your real place and stop planning, planning, planning because more times than not, things are never as you plan them to be.

In the meantime, I am excited about:

The Canadian’s birthday.
Gearing up for the final Lost by watching Season 5 again. Feb 2!
Lots more fabulous “What’s in Your Kit?” interviews starting next week!
The 2010 Olympics- even if the rest of Vancouver are not.

Oh, what a week I had on gorgeous Oahu. It all went too quickly and I already want to go back. Before I say too much about it, here are a small selection of the Polaroids I took while I was away. I hope you had a great week. I’ll be back with more Hawaii pictures and polaroids.

Roid Week Starts Today!

It sounds like fundraising for a medical condition, but no, it is a whole week devoted to Polaroids on flickr and it’s fun, fun, fun!

All you need to do is this:

Grab your Polaroid camera
Snap a roid
Bask in the glory that is the magic square
Upload to the pool

Print Store Opening Next Week

The Print Store is ready to open and will be launching early next week. I will be offering 6 x 6 prints of a select few Polaroids to start with. All the photographs were printed in a professional lab on lustre matte paper and they look lovely.

If the want is there, I will offer more of my Polaroids for sale in the near future. This is my debut store and to kick things off, I am going to give away a print of the Polaroid above. There has only been one of these printed at this point, so it’s a one off! To go into the draw, just leave a comment and make sure to fill out your email addy. The comment link is at the top of the post!
