Photograph by Sycamore Street Press

The lovely Victoria of SFGirlByBay and a few other clever blog ladies have been devising a plan to spread some blog love across February. The main idea is to have a collective of blog posts about what we find inspiring. As Mocking Bird is all about the inspiration and finding creativity, I thought this was a great idea.

If you’d like to play along with Blog It Forward, Victoria is sorting the details via her blog. The talented EZ of Creature Comforts has designed a lovely banner for the project.

Speaking of Creature Comforts, I’m sure many of you read her blog already, but if you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out. She has been one of my favourite bloggers for a long time and always has some great ideas for creative projects such as these Valentine’s cards.

And speaking of Valentine’s, this lovely letterpress poster shown in the picture is by Sycamore Street Press.

Come back tomorrow for another instalment in the “What’s In Your Kit?” series. Another fabulous photographer coming up!

One of the last in my 52 Week project…

I know a girl, a girl called Susannah, Susannah girl…she writes one of my favourite blogs and takes some of my favourite photos, she is sweet, she is smart and she nominated me for this little thing called the Creative Blogger award. The idea is that you choose 7 bloggers that you love and blog about 7 things that you love. I am going to have to choose Susannah because she would have been right there at the top of my list anyway.

Ink On My Fingers: Susannah is an incredibly gifted writer and photographer. Not only does she write in such a way that makes you feel like she is having a conversation with you over afternoon cappuccinos, but visiting her blog is like stepping into your favourite store where the owner always welcomes you back. Most of the blogs I read are read in an RSS feeder, but when I see a new post by Susannah, I make sure I click on the link to take me to the blog so I can read it surrounded by her happy home.

Another blog whose link I click is one lady who I seem to mention in every second post, Pia Jane Bijkerk. I cannot say enough about this gorgeous lady. I’m sure she has been nominated for this award before but she is currently on top of my list of favourite stylish people. Creative in so many ways, Pia Jane’s “blog house” will make you happy.

Nikki is one of the most interesting, creative people I’ve met through the internets. She and I used to co author silly stories and poems together. Her mind is incredible and I really hope she writes that book she has been talking about. I have “known” her for almost 10 years now and hope to meet her some day!

Sh1ft is run by my fabulous friend Tracey. A masterpiece of a blog and always ever evolving, Tracey writes real stories about her life with her beautiful babies and lovely hubby. Tracey is a kick arse photographer and has been blogging and influencing life in the blog hemisphere for a very long time. You should know Sh1ft.

Oh Hello Friend is quite new to me but upon seeing it for the first time I was in love. Just go look, it’s so pretty and inspiring! Danni blogs about all the pretty things she loves. Very creative.

Nectar and Light: There is no way Jen hasn’t been awarded this before but I’m including her anyway. One of the most creative and talented people I’ve ever come across. Her photographs leave me breathless every time. Kind, smart, creative and talented, Jenifer is a super woman. I wanna be just like her when I grow up.

Myla Kent is one of my favourite people and her blog is always jam packed with inspiration, creativity and love. I adore this lady and the way she looks at life. Enough said, I have spoken about her many times before.

I will post the 7 things that I love soon.

p.s. All those bloggers are women. I need to find some boy bloggers! I would have nominated the Canadian, but I don’t think he’d wanna play.
