A little Mariners baseball love…I just adored these Japanese fans who kept holding up a sign every time Ichiro ran out to his spot in the field. I have no idea what their sign said, but I can hazard a guess. There was a big heart on the other side. I understand where they are coming from…I am a Red Sox fan but I am super happy that our closest ballpark is Ichiro’s. Oh, I heart him.
Any Japanese readers out there who can translate for us?

Oh Amanda, totally. Vancouver has the Vancouver Canadiens in the minor leagues. I’ve been to a few of those games but yeah, we go to Mariners games! It’s a great ball park. Lots of people from Vancouver do it. You also must go down to Seattle just to go shopping hehe
Carmela, I am a red sox fan because of my boyfriend. He is a huge Red Sox fan because he has a lot of family in Boston. He took me there a few yrs back and I got hooked so I became a red sox fan overnight I guess!
Allyn, it gets me into trouble when I attend red sox games with the family. I cheer when Ichiro scores and then get told off haha

Eeeep!! You were here and I didn’t even know it? Safeco field is sooo magical. I remember when it first came up and (nerd alert) reading about the sprinkler system made me absolutely filled with glee. On a clear warm night… there’s nothing like a great game there! Good Ole Ichiro.

That day was a very quick visit just to see the game. We were there with the boyfriend’s parents.
We will have to catch up sometime when I’m down again.
It’s funny, I know so many people online who live in Seattle. It’s incredible.
