Meeting Old Friends

I have a friend.

I have a friend whom I treasure dearly, not only because she is amazingly talented; not only because she is beautiful inside and out; and not only because she has introduced me to a world of creative opportunities

I treasure her dearly because even though we have been friends for almost 3 years yet had never met until this week, spending an afternoon wandering through shoe stores and playing with her family on the beach, felt like we’d known each other for aeons.

Those three cherubs above I recognised before I even recognised their mama but I’m sure they thought I was some strange lady who talked funny. Of course, by the end of the day we were holding hands and giving hugs. Gorgeous angels all four of them.

Jenifer, Susannah and I are moving forward together on a glorious and exciting journey. Three Polaroid sisters from three different corners of the world daring to be brave together with cameras in hand. The Aussie is so honoured to be riding on this fairy tale journey with the American and the Brit and I hope that someday soon, all three of us can meet up for some royally Polaroidy mischief.

This week I feel blessed.

Check out Jen’s new portfolio and wedding sites.

  1. So true Marcie…although Jen and I met through Flickr but yes, all the same hehe

Oh, Susannah, I wish you had too, sweetie. We will have to figure something out!

  2. Thats so amazing, that you could unite with a friend even though there is such a huge distance apart. I like that you could keep such a friendship strong.

  3. Great shot!!!

Can’t wait to check out everything you’ve linked to, but alas, it is late and my babe wakes with the sun not caring at bit that mommy finds her quiet time in the wee hours.

I have some wonderful lifelong friends who I met in a message board when I was engaged. I’ve met most of them in person at this point, but we all got married at the same time and are now embarking on motherhood together. It’s amazing how a part of my days they have become and how intertwined in my life they are considering they are spread from hither to yon. Congrats on finally meeting your wonderful friend.
