New Sydney Finds

by Amanda on May 4, 2010

In my returning to Sydney discoveries, I’m loving:

  • Children’s store Seed now has a women’s range- gorgeous clothing and accessories!
  • Gorgeous homeware stores in close by suburbs.
  • Latest Frankie and Real Living magazines by my bed.
  • Peter Alexander’s new range in store.
  • Magnation store in Newtown.
  • Crust pizza (nothing new- just loving it once more).
  • Kinokuniya now selling Japanese masking tapes and ribbons.
  • Wearing Havaianas while everyone is complaining about being cold- for once I’m not the one feeling the cold!
  • Spending time with the one with the cupcake.

What are you loving at the moment?

walked past Seed this morning and thought ‘nice shoes’..
Peter Alexander – love it – slept in them last nite. I am also loving Centennial Park at sunset, cute terraces around Paddo, Forbes&Burton for breakfast in winter, Verona cinemas on Oxford st. and the bookshop accross the road from Verona – best photo, design and just plain quirky books ever! (we may have been separated at birth :)

so happy you are having a lovely time back in AU with the family.

isn’t the new frankie great?! one of my favourites so far.

Everything on this list is a good thing!

Yeah, I have to admit that I’m a wuss when it comes to the ‘cold’. Five minutes after I walk out the door telling myself to be strong in a short-sleeve shirt, I put on the cardigan and it doesn’t come off until the end of the day. The heater hasn’t been brought out yet, though! Perseverance… hoping this winter is a nice cold one unlike last year’s.

how lovely for me to have found you -whilst you are visiting sydney- my hometown and yours…i am in the beautiful wilds of the english countryside and you are in gorgeous canada….so i am seriously smiling about finding you, as i said, at ‘home’…..a few moments for me….
going back to check out some past posts……and to ‘follow’ you around…

I’m loving the cupcakes as always! Our farmer’s market has an amazing cupcake booth and I stop there first every week!

Wow what a pretty site you have! I hope to go to Sydney one day…

Char, I don’t understand when people tell me they’ve never owned a pair. Everyone should own Havaianas.

Barbara, I haven’t used one in years. I should try it sometime.

Liya, are you talking about Ariel books? Or Berkelouw? 2 of the 3 greatest bookstores and they are all in Sydney- Kinokuniya is the 3rd. :)
Seed femme has gorgeous shoes and their bags are nice too.

Vera, yes! Love the cover too.

Jasmin, I think all our problems would be solved if we all just got proper indoor heating like the rest of the world has. We live like barbarians lol

    Thanks color collective :)

    Good to hear, Veronica!

    Thanks so much, Melissa. =D
That means a lot to me.

Bec…sounds good. I hope to find some good farmer’s markets in summer in Vancouver.

    Cha, thank you!

I’m loving the spring weather and seeing your feature in the new Artful Blogging mag. I said to myself, “Hey, I know her [blog]!” BUT the new frankie mag has been impossible to track down in all of Chicago. I’m so disappointed because the B&N where I used to buy it says they don’t carry it anymore :(

Oh I am desperately longing for Sydney friends and old Glebe hang outs this week! Looking through your flickr photos makes me so homesick for my family right now. I hope you had a wonderful time – very jealous! (I’m longing for sangria from the Different Drummer and some Balmain wandering).
