Oh, Amanda! Of course you would gravitate to this store!

About four years ago, one evening after the store's regular hours, Rebecca and Brandy graciously allowed my friend and I to host a party/fundraiser in their store. I called it 'Black and Write'...and we had raffles to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association.

We brought in a DJ, had a table of yummy food...and of course the guests were free to shop their hearts out.

Everyone's favorite part was making their own buttons. We used their old-school typewriters to type out little words, and had a blast cutting out the circles and getting our personalized buttons. I still wear my "CRANKY" button on my bad days...

Charlane, it is very cool. I'll be going back to spend some money!

Michelle, thanks so much. I'm so glad you like my little place here. Thanks for the lovely comments. :)

Janis, you'll just have to come to Vancouver to visit!

Ramona, yes, it's on Main St and pretty small. I walked by it on the other side and missed it.

Cathie, the typewriters and maps were all about the store. It has really great displays.

Janis, bring your wallet when you do ;)
