Reasons why living in Canada is Awesome
- Travelling to another country just to check out some flowers is an acceptable thing to do.
- Flowers and pretty petal type things bloom big time. There is colour everywhere.
- Easter is in Spring when eggs are supposed to hatch and babies are born. Makes more sense that way.
- I get to see the Rocky Mountains this year.
- Crossing into America took less time than it used to take me to get to work each day.
- There is snow on the mountains when the sun is shining.
- Rolls of film are developed on the same day.
- The seasons are noticeable. Things have gone from being grey and dead to overflowing with green.
- I get to watch TV shows when they are supposed to be watched.
- The border guards are far less scary than the US ones.
There are plenty of other reasons but these were the few that I was thinking about this morning.

Seattle… but I really want to do the coast trip into Oregon as well. Maybe in the summer.
We are planning a trip to Edmonton in June (family function) but will hopefully do some of the Rockies in that time.
pretty. i made my visit to wa early and the tulips were just starting to bloom at skaggit. you sharing it makes me feel like i’ve made the trip again. thanks!
LoL I thought the same thing when I went to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The U.S. guards were super scary. But then again, I was sort glad that they were. ; )

Shanon, yeah well it was only because I had to go inside and sign a declaration customs form and was asked a bunch of questions. But while we were in there, a couple were being grilled by customs officials and there was some scary talk going on “If you’re lying to me, I’ll find out!” kinda stuff
It was pretty funny because I was hearing all this going on and thinking “i’m just here to see the tulips”. LOL

We were laughing the whole time because they were grilling us about bringing liquor into the U.S. and where we were going with it. (We were bringing Kilkenny to our friends in Boston.) My hubs is ex military intelligence, so we’ve seen more intimidating folks at Army bases, but still, I didn’t expect them to be so scary. Haha =)

Beautiful polaroid. Visiting another country to take pictures of flowers sounds like my cup of tea :) As for getting photos developed in the same day – heck yeah, I couldn’t live without it and am surprised that where you lived in Australia didn’t have one hour photo.

Cute list! Living in Canada is pretty interesting. I was enjoying 20 degree temps 2 weeks ago and today got covered in a snow storm.
Gorgeous photo! When I was living in Japan a friend and I took a trip to Hokkaido (the northernmost island) during the summer, and one of the biggest drawcards were the lavender fields… but I have to admit, the tulips are more impressive!
