If I didn't know any better, these images would have me believing you shoot landscapes all the time. They are gorgeous. I love the muted colors.

Lovely; so moody and atmospheric! Muted colours aren't usually my thing (I love bright, shiny, splashy!) but I really love how austere and calm these are. :)

Thanks Alexandria and Charlane. Yeah, I've never really had the chance before. Aussie fog doesn't stick around for very long.

Pia dear, I think you'd be fabulous at shooting people. Yes, when I do it, I stop and think about what I'm doing, realise I have no clue what I'm doing, but just shoot away and see what happens.
Yes, I couldn't believe it. I used to live about 2 minutes from Berkelouw- aren't they the best bookstores? I am planning a trip home but dates are finalised just yet.

Tina, it's funny, I was drawn to that particular one just because of where it was and we got some looks from the film crew hehe
My mum would be very jealous, she's a huge LOTR/Peter Jackson fan.

Nik, you write that book, baby! You know it's in your blood, cowgirl. xxx

Kate haha
I get very geek excited when we are driving along and the Canadian points out somewhere that was used in the show. I was a decade too late lol

i have never been able to capture fog. it's always around, but slowly slouches away from my lens. these are really fantastic.
i love that you were following the crew signs! i think i would drive myself batty because i'd follow all of them :)

when lovely bones was being film in my town, i took a good mile walk in search of mark wahlberg. just to glimpse him would make my year.

i ended up meeting peter jackson, though not as handsome, still as rewarding!

I have always been addicted to shooting landscapes, I have no idea why but that was always 'my thing'. Isn't it great being in a new setting and being forced to shoot something out of your normal comfort zone? I really need to work on photographing people, that was never my thing.

If the fog is good for anything over there, it's for helping you create these incredible photos, thank you for sharing!
xx

PS I love seeing movie sets for the set design, I get all giddy over the detail. And the cinematography of course! Love love.
PPS bummed I missed you in Sydney but don't worry, I will be hoping with all my heart I can come to Van this year - I just hope you will not be visiting Sydney when I'm there!

Fog is one of the best things in a photograph. It makes things a little more magical or haunting. Either way I like these a lot.
