Polaroid 680!
by Amanda on November 16, 2009

I just got back from a weekend on Vancovuer Island which was oh so lovely. It’s been a while since I’ve had some girly time and it was just what I needed. A gorgeous hotel, a beautiful town with character and charm around every corner and yummy, girly shops in which to spend my cares away.
Prize purchase of the weekend was a new Polaroid camera! It was fate when I happened upon the used camera store to discover her glistening in the front window. I have been looking for a Polaroid SLR680 for a long time and there she was beckoning me to take her home. I haven’t had a chance to test her out yet, but fingers and toes are crossed that she exposes the film properly. Photographs coming shortly.
In other news, the lovely Astrid has posted a mini interview with me on film photography. Check it out here on her blog, Hei Astrid.

I hope the 680 works. I have one and she’s lovely. I finally found an sx-70 that seems to work, despite the gunky rollers. it’s a good day when you find a new friend. :)
Oh wow! Congrats on the new Polaroid! I’m glad you enjoyed Victoria, it’s so beautiful there. :)
So glad you she found you and you her..! I love it when things like this happen. Enjoy!

I probably would have plastered myself to the window and drooled for a while before coming to my senses and purchasing it.
Victoria is my dream city. :)
Ooh, congrats on your new baby! Glad it works ok :)
