Ask any photographer online and they will tell you that Flickr is one of the most influential places to find inspiration. I want to share some of the most inspirational photographers I have discovered in the last three years of scouring Flickr, in no particular order. Enjoy!

Most of these photographers find beauty in very simple things. That is one thing that sets the great photographers apart from good photographers. A lot of these photographers are more digitally inclined and I plan on doing more on film loving photographers soon. This is a just a small selection.

Who are some of your most inspirational flickr photographers? What inspires you about those that you love?

Thank you for this beautiful collection. I love the soft, dreamy pinks and grays. I find sites like Flickr overwhelming, preferring to look at blogs like this one, where someone has already culled through and picked out the best.

oooo, thank you so much for this list! some of them i know (and have loved their work), so it is great to find links to other photographers whose work i might like. i love photographs which are simple in set-up, with beautiful objects and glorious lighting.

  9. Ahhh my flickr account just directed me here… thank you very much Amanda, I’m very chuffed! :)

Wow top ten – I don’t think I’ve been in a top ten for anything before… I was hoping to be a one hit wonder one day with a rubbish pop song, but this will do :)

    ButtonmoOon

  10. blue says:

Um, 8 out of the 10 of those photos look like they could have been taken by the same photographer. Some variety might help.

  11. amanda says:

Blue, I was going for the same sort of style for this post.
A lot of these photographers do shoot similar styles but that is what I was aiming for as I plan on doing a series on these.
As I wrote in the post, these are “some” and whether you think they are boring or not, these people have all been very influential on flickr.
Thus why they all have very high view counts and contact lists. If you take the time to look through their flickrstreams, you will find that they all shoot very different things. People love these photographers whether you think they are similar or not.

  12. Carol says:

I just love that top one by LilyBlue… so beautiful, soft & quiet.

  13. 13tb says:

  14. Lauren says:

i love bloom grow love! i just came across her photos the other day and fell in love.

  15. Katarina says:

I like Buttonmooon too, his photos were one of the inspirations for my Wales trip.
But I really love the work of Marie Ek, Lina Scheynius, Bububob and Salva López, Tommy Oshima and Memetic…and many many others.
Flickr can be really great sometimes.
