A Quote From My Mother
by Amanda on July 17, 2009
“ So are you twitting?“, which was followed by an eruption of laughter from my brother, sister, The Canadian and myself. This is a woman who for the entire 80′s and into the 90′s used the term, “Intendo”. I mean seriously, she was the one buying Nintendo system after Nintendo system for my brother, you would have thought that on one of those occasions she would have looked down and noticed the letter N.

After the laughter carried on for a few good hours, after we noted down another gem in the “Quotes from our mother” book and we all controlled ourselves once more, I mocked her for thinking such a thing.
“Me on twitter? God, no. My life is too boring and I would have nothing to be ‘twitting’ “.
In good Amanda fashion, I just signed up with twitter. We shall see how long it lasts. Follow me and prepare to read all about time well spent watching old seasons of Lost and trips on the M5! WOO!
Editor’s note: I am going to hell for making fun of my mother on the internet.
And so this post isn’t totally boring for you, here are some linky links:
- Urban Weeds is a newish blog in the style of The Satorialist but what I like is that each person also has an up close portrait. Great photography.
- Peter Van Beever photographer superstar on Paper Cameras.
- Gorgeous illustrated video for Sarah Blasko’s ‘No Turning Back’

MY mother said “Intendo” too! Have you ever visited the blog, Postcards From Yo Momma? It’s comic gold.
I didn’t think I had much to say when I joined Twitter, but I find it’s been very helpful to my blog, and for connecting with others online.
No, I’ll have to check it out!
Yes, I’m staying positive about it.
Oops, I wrote my comment to this post on the one below, which just proves the point of my comment. lol. ;)
Lol Don’t worry Vicki, lots of people have been doing the same thing.
I need to move where the comments sit I think!
Thanks, Amanda. I don’t feel so bad now. ;)
